Power supply making noise, please advise

Hello people, I just built my new rig (in sig) and everything is great except recently I've been noticing a clicking/whirring sound. I ignored it, figured a case fan was making a bit of noise, but when I adjusted the fan on my Enermax power supply, I can tell it is definately this.

It is not a really LOUD noise, but annoying, should this power supply make any noise at all? Fan is blowing, but the clicking/whirring continues even if I put the fan on low. It didnt do this when I first bought it.

PS I can exchange this at the store still, if it is necessary

If it is still under warranty, then yes, exchange it ... power supply fans should be nice and quiet
except for the airflow noise ... if it is noisy now, it will fail .. I say 6 months max

Ok, I went and replace power supply with an Antec 550 W truepower 2.0.

Does anyone use this? I cant find any reviews, is it supposed to be as good as the Enermax I had? Voltages seem lower on 3.3 and 12v from bios readings.

Try cleaning the gunk out of the grill behind the fan. Mine starting making squealing noises and got really hot...turns out the fan was plugged up and no air was getting out. It's quiet now, but I was getting an Windows error message saying my video card will only work at a reduced speed due to power problems? I then bought a new case with a built-in 500w ps ($26) and now all is well.

OH MAN.... I was monitoring cpu voltages and temps with asus probe, it went berserk, all rails were getting too low volts, I freaked out and returned power supply for another Enermax 535 W.

Could this have damaged my system at all?

Unfortunately with new power supply, cables are a bit shorter for some reason, had to use a 12v molex to 4 pin adapter.

These adapters dont have any adverse effects, do they?
