Power Supply Issues

I built a new PC and am having issues with my power supply.

When I plug a power cable into the power, my PC will power on 50% of the time. When it doesn't power on, I'll wiggle the power cable in the PC power socket and hear what sounds like a small electrical surge. The PC then powers on

I've tried replacing the power supply with one that works perfectly in another machine and run into the same problem. I've also tried replacing the power cable. Didn't work.

Any ideas?

Check your motherboard jumpers - especially if you have a keyboard wake-up option. Also check your ATX connector, if you have one, inaddition to the main mobo power connector.
