power supply for XP 2500+ & 6800 GT

Currently own Athlon XP 2500+, fx 5900 128mb, Enermax 350W ps. Will this be okay if I upgrade to a 6800GT?

Yes, it should be fine. You might be surprised to know that the 5900 (mid-high) series actually sucks down MORE power than the 6800s.

What model do you have?

i have the xfx fx5900 128mg

btw:

XFX nVIDIA GeForce 6800 GT Video Card, 256MB GDDR3, 256-Bit, TV-Out/DVI, 8X AGP, Model "PVT40AUD" -RETAIL

System requirements A 350W system power supply is highly recommanded
Intel Pentium, AMD or compatible CPUs
128 MB system memory or more
AGP compliant motherboard supporting AGP8X

Should be no problem unless your running 4 or more HD's.

even a quality 240W can handle more then all that. you'll be fine with power to spare.

naw, only running 2 hd's; 1 hd with os and the other for storage.

It will definatly be fine, I am running my setup on a 350w enermax(6800GT and P4 2.8@3.5ghz)
