power supply for q6600?

I have a Antec PP-412x 400 Watt power supply from a long time ago. That should be enough power to drive the processor and everything else, but is it compatible with the newer motherboards that support the quad cores??
 
Depends on the Gen of video card and components you have in your system, not usually recommended to run high end hardware with low watt PSU. Myself Im looking to get a new PSU becuase 500W isn't even comforting for me.
