Quick question.
You know the power supplies that have the normal 80mm exhaust, PLUS the internal 80mm x 10mm fan that is supposed to help blow air into the power supply and out the back. Well, how important is it to have that internal fan run full speed?
Anyone think it would be a bad idea to have it run at say 9v or 10v instead of 12v?
Reason I ask is because I modded my psu to let me control this internal fan via my Vantec Nexus fan controller. It's kinda loud at the full 12v, but is pretty quiet at roughly 9v.
EDIT: the exhaust 80mm fan has already been replaced with a quieter and higher cfm model. So that should improve airflow to counter the internal fan I think.
