Power Supply explode

My friend's Power supply exploded when he opened his computer yesterday. My question is " Is there any possibilites that his Mb is broken due to this problem?" Thnx...

My housemate had this great idea of removing the power supply's cover cuz he wanted to fiddle with the fan. Lo and behold that PSU smoked and burnt a coupla pins off his floppy drive and killed his mobo. Needless to say I LMAO. Well, it was a good enough reason to buy a new system so... tell your friend that

Seems to me there are a lot of exploding components in these threads. Damage to Mobo, of course it is possible. Get a diff PS and check out the mobo.

Thnx Guys, his motherboard is broken. He said that he'll buy a new system next month.

That SUX. My Generic ps was smoked while I was playing some Q3. Luckily, All of my components are fine (I haven't checked my PCI slots though,,, I don't use any) and got myself a 431w enermax. Now the only problem is the electrical bill (+$20 than normal)
