Power Supply Cable touching heatstink back-plate

Hi~just build my new rig, spec is i5-4670k with 212 evo cooler/ GSKILL 8G RAM / ASUS Maximus VI Hero / Intel 530 series 240G SSD / Fractal Design Define R4 Case / Seasonic M12II620W PSU

The problem is that the power supply cable for CPU is too short, and as of right now it is sitting on top of the back-plate of the cpu cooler. Is this going to be a problem in the long run? the back-plate shouldn't be too hot right?

the picture says it all.

Unless the backplate gets so hot it could melt the plastic on the cables, it's not a problem. And if it does get so hot, you have an overheating problem. Plastic melts at around 70C at the lowest, the motherboard should never be getting that hot.
