Seems like the generic power supply that came with my case is running everything else fairly close to spec except the -12V which is showing anywhere from -13.0 to -13.5. What will this effect and will it be worthwhile to buy a new power supply? Running a 2600+ on nf7-s with 4 hd's, cd-rw, dvd rom, 9800 pro.

The +12 is important. IIRC, the -12 rail doesnt do much.

You said Generic Power Supply. I predict many "buy a quality PSU" posts...

A Quality PSU such as one made my Enermax, Antec, Thermaltake etc is (99.99%) more likely going to run cooler, quieter and/or better.... it is also more likely to provide more power and supply it at a much more stable rate... provide more Power Connectors and connectors that are useful ... and most importantly... its less likely to go AWOL and nuke half a PC.

Main Point: A good brand psu is less likely than a generic one to die on you and take components to the grave with it.
