I just purchased a case with a 300 watt power supply in it from one of the posts in the hot deals forum. Of course there were people putting their 2 cents in saying that 300 watt would not be enough and that the 420 watt would be better. Well I know it would be better but is it really needed? I mean right now in the case I'm using which has a 300 watt power supply I have 3 hard drives, a floppy, a cd burner, along with a 1.0Ghz Tbird o/c to 1.25Ghz, with a Radeon 64 VIVO card. I also occasionally hook up my canon scanner which the only source of power is through the usb port, that gotta draw some current, but I have yet to see anything bad happen. What does it take to overload a 300 watt power supply?
