I'm currently upgrading a HP Pavilion 7975 and looking to replace its 200W ATX Power Supply so I can run an upgraded video and sound cards. I'm looking to up it to at least 400W that doesn't run to hot and loud, queiter the better. I also do most of my shopping on Newegg.com and would like to buy it from there. Any Suggestions?

I would move the components from the HP into a standard ATX or micro ATX case that can take a standard ATX psu as you aren't going to find a decent mATX or SFX PSU of that high a Wattage. The best I know of are the Enermax at 320W and the Fortron at 300W. The Enermax has a single 24A rail and the Fortron has 22.5A over two rails and it has aPFC and autoranging AC input - both of which I like a lot in my PSUs. The Enermax lacks both and costs $10. more right now. While as you know, good 400W ATX are a dime a dozen right now. The enhance 5140GH for instance is under $60. at eWiz.com and has both aPFC and autoranging AC - and the 500W version is less than $10. more.

^Good idea, you can upgrade to something like a coolermaster centurion or antec slk3000b, both ~$40, then add the enhance 5140gh for $67 shipped and you've got an excellent case/psu combo. (I actually have the Centurion 532 and the enhance 5140gh as part of my rig ATM)
With the upgrade, the case will allow for better airflow, more drive bays for opticals, more hdd space and easier upgreadability.

EDIT: Let me be the first to welcome you to the AT forums!:D

After further investigation, the current power supply in my micro case is a Bestec mod# ATX-1956D which is a standard ATX power supply. So a ATX power supply should fit in my case. I just have to make sure I have all the correct connections which my current power supply has a total of (5) peripheral connectors which (3) are being used w/o any room in the case to utilize the other (2) connectors.

That system (Pavilion 7975) is an oldie. 2GHz P4, 512MB SDRAM, 80GB hard drive. Some modest upgrades probably couldn't hurt too badly, but I think you'll reach a point where the benefit from further upgrading would be lost. Don't count out a new system -- I think you'd be astonished with what today's hardware can do, for a very reasonable price, especially if you only intend to upgrade the computer tower. Donate the old one to a local missionary family or church, or sell it on Ebay.
