I like the black and decker AS600. It uses standard AA alkaline batteries or better NiMh rechargeable which gets rid of custom battery packs. It is small enough to get inside a pc case too. Only draw back would be it isn't designed to be a drill too, so if you plan to do woodworking projects I wouldn't recommend it.
