Instead of having a screen saver, I have my comptuer set to turn the monitor after 5 minutes. I have the screen saver set to none. For some reason though, it's not turning my monitor off after the alloted time. Any ideas why? Any help would be appreciated since this monitor makes my room really warm if left on for extended periods of time. Thanks...
 
There may be BIOS settings that enable/disable power management apart from the Windows settings. Try checking those out.
 
I checked them and they were disabled. However, switching them to be enabled changed nothing. Still no luck. Any other ideas?
 
Hmm... what about that "Plug and Play OS" BIOS setting? I vaguely remember having issues with suspending a monitor until I switched it to the opposite of whatever I had. Wish I could remember more details - it was quite a while ago. Other than that, I'm out of ideas.
