Power Problem?

My question is this, I have moved to a new house that has a window A/C unit. Everytime he unit kicks on the lights flicker slightly. Will this cause any problems to my computer? Thanks for the help.

I have the same problem in my basement computer room,
every time the washing machine starts spinning light dim
for a second, I have a cheapo Belkin surgemaster, the
under monitor kind, and its been going on for over a year
and I haven't had any problems.

get yourself a surge protector for your power supply!

yea make sure you got a surge protector a USP or UPS (somethinglike that) would help to keep it running somely through the flickers. I ampretty sure that is how they work
