Power Outage at home!!

my laptop was off, but it was plugged into a docking station charging... and then the power went out... did it do anything to my laptop? it booted up fine on battery power..

Are you worried about a power surge or a problem of it not fully charging in one setting?

Not fully charging is not a big deal.

Power surge, odds are if it booted up from the battery everything will be fine. Also if you are worried about a power surge, perhaps you should look into getting a surge protector for your docking station to help ease your mind.

It's just like unplugging from the wall. Nothing at all should happen.

Solar Flare. We got an outage here to. Your laptop should be fine... if not, there were other problems with it...
