Just built a new PC. Only thing carried forward was the case, an Inwin Q500. Because I went with an Athlon XP 1600+, I decided to upgrade the power supply to a 350W sold as a "CompuCase", manufactured by Heroichi Electronics, supposedly a good quality P/S.
There is an intermittent problem where the PC will not power up. When I hit the start button, nothing happens. If I reach behind the case and toggle the power switch on the power supply, I can then start the PC as usual. It doesn't do it all the time, but didn't have that problem with the original "Powerman" p/s that came with the case. Because it is a new PC, not certain whether it is a p/s or a possible defect in the mobo, an Abit KR7A-R133.
Any suggestions on what the problem may be?
