It's an Asus A7A266 with a 1.33. I don't have anything overclocked. It seems as though if I OC.. the O/S will work fine until you try to play a game. Then everything locks up and you need to cold boot. That's not really a problem for me because I honestly didn't notice a difference between when it was running at 1.42 or 1.33.
Anyway, the problem I had for the longest time was this. The system would lock up the second any part of power management would kick in. Even when it was disabled in the OS and in the BIOS, it would still lock up. So I figured I had to find a configuration that would work.
Well, after some tinkering I found one. Although the operating system will occasionally produce an error with the state manager. It doesn't make it so I have to reboot.. it's just mildly annoying when it does. It gives the same result as oh, say NAV crashing. It refreshes the desktop/icons/quick launch and then everything works fine again. It's tolerable, but if anyone has any suggestions about it.. feel free to donate. They will be appreciated.
