So we are having some bad storms here in Houston. Some marble sized hail, lots of rain, really windy, and lots of thunder and lightning.

Lo and behold the power goes out, and it's still out. Luckily my TV, computer and all networking is up on a few UPS'.

The house is dead silent...except for crazy beeping.

Current weather map..i'm out by Katy.

Quit hogging all the rain, it's not making it over here to Georgia. Driest on record since they starting taking records in late 1800's.

The worst of it missed my part of town. Kind of disappointing, considering how much the storm was built up. No hail or anything, just a lot of wind and broken branches, and some rain.

Well, I'm glad about the hail. No property damage today!

Only had a little pea-sized hail here last night. Power flickered on and off a few times. BUT....there seemed to be a little tornado that touched down across from my apartment complex taking the roof off a part of another apt. complex and destroying a building.

And I never heard a thing.

They had mentioned on Ch. 2 news last night that there reports of a tornado right where I was at but I figured they had the location wrong. I guess not.....LOL

Count me lucky. :)

And it seems almost half our city (not my half, whew) got its power knocked out last night and a lot of them are still without power this morning.

My neighbor's tree is in my front yard now and I almost drove into a port-a-potty on the street last night. Good storm.

Wow, I feel lucky. I live in Sharpstown and our weather has not been anywhere near as serious as the stuff you guys are talking about, or the stuff on the news.

I didn't even know there was another big storm until Smoochy posted it. Over here it's like a normal rain shower.

It was pretty bad last night driving on the 610 south loop. Visibility was almost nothing, people were driving 30. It was nuts.
