power inverter + USP + mac Mini in car?

ok, so im designing a computer to stick in my rsx-s and i was curious if anyone had any ideas or experience with power inverters and/or and other component im looking at. basically the plan is to buy a mac mini and stick it in the glove compartment, it would be powered by a power inverter in the area just below the glove compartment depending on how big it is. that will be connected directly to the battery. an amplifier for sound amplification obviously and a touchscreen mounted where the radio was.

i was curious what small power inverters ppl would reccomend and if a true sine wave generator was a good idea to protect the comp. also, the usp is there so that when the car is turning over, the usp kicks in and keeps the comp from shutting off due to lack of power. are there even really small usps? i mean it dosent have a lot of capacity, as it will only be used for maybe 2-3 seconds or so.
