Power goes out...during finals week!

Ok, so Im graduated and it didnt affect me but that was always my worst nightmare and it happened this morning. Woke up to no power. I DID have to get up at a certain time (need to pick up my mom at the aiport) but luckily I set my alarm clock on my cell phone. Whew, close call.

dammit we lost power again tonight, this time for ~3 hours. Right in the middle of cooking dinner in the back of my apt (where I dont have windows and couldnt see sh*t!

Ack. I hate power outages. The power died in my dorm several times this year. One time, during the evening, when I was doing work on my computer, it died. Later on, it came back on and I cut my computer back on. Just as soon as I got it booted up, it died again. This happened again before the power stayed on. I was so mad after that happened. That was like three times in one night that my computer got shut off without being shut down.

Later in the semester, the power went off in the middle of the night. Luckily, my roommate has a UPS and had his alarm clock plugged into it, otherwise neither of us would have made it to our first class. As it was, one of my suitemates missed his class that morning. I think it's time I invested in a UPS.
