I just assembled an Abit KT7A-Raid motherboard and found this reference in the users maunal to the Fan3 header: "attach the power fan connector to the fan3 header." I have a small three pin connector from the power supply that looks like a fan connector. Is this what they are referring to. Also, if this is what they are talking about, does this correct fan power problem (running a case and CPU fan off of the motherboard connectors). Thanks.

Yeah I think that's what they're talkign about. I have an Enermax and it has a fan connector as well.

but what is the fan power problem you're talking about?? I don't think there's any problem running a case and cpu fan off the mobo unless you have a delta 38cfm or something

On one machine, I have two case fans and a YS Tech fan on the fan connectors. You can hear the RPM difference when all three fans start up.

Thanks for the tip. I hooked up the connector and the fans seem to have more power upon startup.
