Power DVD ???

I'm using Power DVD 4.0 (for the first time; I'm a newbie with this software) , and have a question about aspect ratios. I've used several software DVD programs, and never had a problem getting the right aspect ratio to play on screen; ie. WinDVD, ATI DVD, etc., but I can't seem to get Power DVD to display the correct aspect; when I try to play a widescreen (any aspect) it fillsthe screen with a 4:3 and stretches the screen.

Yes, I have the "keep aspect ratio checked" but it goes 4:3 when I try to play back anything fullscreen.

Anyone know what I need to change to keep the resolution (i.e. aspect ratio correct)?

Sorry if this is off topic mod's, move it to the correct forum if this isn't it.

I have been using PowerDVD 4 (XP) for a while and do not have a problem with it keeping the proper aspect ratio. Are you watching true 16:9 material or 4:3?

I am in the same boat as John. I have never had to set anything to get the correct aspect ratio. It plays the movie correctly without setting anything.
