Power draw of 3870/3850?

About how many amps do the RV670 cards draw? I'm going to have a C2D, which is about 7.5 amps max and a couple of other things running off a 33 amp +12v. rail, and I want to make sure I won't blow my PSU. Thanks!

AFAIK the 3870 will consume a max of 8.75A (105W) under full load. What brand and model is your psu.

The PSU is a corsair 450VX. I want to run a C2D6750 and a radeon 3870 on its 33A +12v. rail.

i just bumped a thread up that has some reviews where they show how much these cards draw.

Awesome choice for a psu. :thumbsup: You could have a Q6600 and still have plenty of room to spare.
