Power does not turn on, Motherboard/Processor known to work.

One of the IDE cables or other peripherals plugged in incorrectly?

Power supply voltage selector set to 230 instead of 115?

No load on power supply like a hard drive? (weird I know, but I've seen it)

is mobo on proper standoffs(not grounding out)..? cpu not crushed/pins bent/hs' fan plug in to proper fan header..? etc.

When you say "known to work", do you mean they worked in your system previously, or do you mean you have swapped them out in another system since this problem started happening and they still work?

If it's the former, one of the components might be fried.

Whats new about the system? New case? new processor?
Make sure that the Power switch, Power LED, Reset Switch cables coming from the case are properly seated on the correct +/- pins of the motherboard.

Then the obvious can cause this problem, like is the outlet not working, or the powerbrick turned off, or the the power cable not being plugged in?

nope, not new. does the processor hsf HAVE to be plugged into the mobo? I have a fan controller and would rather use that.

Thanks
Paul

Yes, on some boards, the fan Must be plugged into the fan header, at least on first boot. Later in Some bios, you can disable the cpu fan.

Power supply also known to work.

I tried a 400 watt cheap brand on an nf7s and it would not work, an enermax 350 watt had no problem whatsoever. The 400 watt worked in several other systems and still works in a rig right now. Do you have a quality power supply you could try. This is one of the biggest problems with the nf7 boards. Also do you have the extra 4 prong power connector plugged into the motherboard?
