I noticed the anandtech reviews show total system power consumption
and the test system changes every few months or whatever.

are there any comprehensive charts/stats/tables comparing the power usage of the cards released over the last few years ?

thanks for any info

Which has nothing to do with what they actually draw.

Just look at the power consumption figures from the AT GTX 285 review and do some math. <a target=_blank class=ftalter...oc.aspx?i=3501&p=9</a>

The whole system with a GTX 285 drew a mere 320W FROM THE WALL. Even if you give the power supply an 88% efficiency for that draw, the system was drawing only ~282W from the PSU. Now how much do you think a core i7 965 draws under full load? Quite a few watts.

Considering the other parts you could come up with a base of somewhere near ~115W for the system without the GPU. The numbers Nvidia throws are just out of their...

You could also say that it's TDP and not power consumption but that site seems to think they're the same.

I found this one that seems to be updated regularly when new cards come out - Link

Is just an image though, so it's hard to search, have to just scan it over manually.
