I thought about posting this in the power supplies section but I need immediate attention.

How would i find out how much power a computer draws from the wall socket? Now now much the internal parts pull from the power supply, but the actual amount of power needed from a wall outlet to power a machine? I'd like to know how much power is needed for a computer, monitor, and UPS (while its charging) and i have no idea where to find this info.

Do i measure this power consumption is watts, volts, or ohms? help! thanks.

Also, you measure the power in watts. You would measure the total energy used in Kilowatt hours (KWH) which is what the electric company charges you for. KWH is just what it says - the KW times the time in hours.
