I need some power consumption/elecrical info. My computer studio space has its own breaker box for that floor.
On a single outlet I have a APC UPS (2 socket
) with:
a Dell 2.66ghz (250 watt PSU),
and Mac G4 plugged in.
I also have a HP 520 Athlon 1600+. I do not to run all 3 at once but I'd like to when I get a new 6 socket UPS.
On that outlet is a APC surge protector. On that is:
2x NEC FE950+ 19" CRT monitors
1 netgear router
a set of cambridge 3 piece speakers
Cable modem
On a power strip going to another oulet (which I am not sure if it's on a different breaker/circuit and on a 6' extension and power strip) is a 32" SONY WEGA TV, DVD player, and Klipsh Promedia 4.1's (that go to the mac), and my cell phone charger, small 60 watt desk lamp, and Palm charger.
So my question to you is do you think I am running too much power? I am starting to see symptoms of low power (random shutdowns, powered devices not working/USB/FW) from one comp, but it is on a UPC so I would think the UPC would tell me if the power is low. How much wattage/amperage can a typical house outlet/circuit handle? Would 3 computers and 2x 19" monitors and 3 piece speakers (60 watt RMS) be too much?
