Power connectors, etc, in case

Hey,

I started building my first system today and just have a quick question about the connectors for the front panel I/O on my case. Most of them are made up of two connectors, one being ground. It doesn't say on it which is which, but one side has an arrow on it. Is this a universal thing, or specific to these cases? Anyway, does anyone know if the arrow means ground or positive?

Thanks, guys. I tried searching, but found nothing. And as much as I love my new case, it comes with some pretty piss-poor documentation.

Usually the colorful wire is the positive (red, blue, green, yellow, etc..) and either white or black denotes ground..

Dunno about the arrow thing, never seen it. All my cases have used the coloring method i mentioned

Shouldn't be big deal. If whatever you are connecting doesn't work, just flip the connector.

Dittos the above (but I have seen them wired backwards - which is where Ike's advice comes in). I've occasionally seen the arrows but they aren't common on only two wire connectors. If present, they should point to the positive wire.

Hi, I'm not real sure what connector you have, but most connectors for PC have a little molded arrow on one corner indicating pin 1. Hope this helps a little, Jim
