Power Connections from PSU

Hi, appreciate some feedback on this...

Am building my first system. I have a number of fans and devices which require 4-Pin connectors.
One of the cables from the PSU leads to a a 4-Pin connector which then branches-off a second 4-Pin
connector. Two others cables look the same except they branch-off a third connector -- some kind of
a mini version 4-Pin connector.

Does this "branching off in series" diminish or in any way minimize the amount of power each connector
delivers to adjacent devices or side-by-side fans for instance? If not, then couldn't one (in theory) continue
to branch of an endless number of connectors without loss of power? And why does one of the cables
have just a single 4-Pin connector vs. 2 or 3 connectors like the ones described above?

Also, why does the cable from the two Antec case fans branch into both male and female 4-Pin connectors?
