power buttons on keyboard - how to disable them?

i board a genius keyboard which has 3 power buttons "power, sleep, wake" under the pageup/down/insert/del etc" buttons.
no drivers/controllers were needed to activate these buttons but is there any way to disable them as i tend to inadvertently shut my machine down at the worst posssible time by accidently flicking across the power button????

Okay, I was looking at Genius' Website and I found drivers but no software that could help you change what the keys do. Then I saw the FAQ and read the following. I don't know if this is your model, but the same should apply:

Q :How can I configure the special keys of keyboard KB-16M?
A :You can only configure the key for internet and email. For configuration of prefered web browser and email client, click the keyboard symbol in the task bar.
go to top
and...
Q : Do I need drivers for keyboard KB-10?
A : The keyboard KB-10 doesn't need any special drivers, it works with the standard keyboard drivers of Windows. The ACPI function is only supported by Windows 98/ME and 2000. ACPI support must be activated in the system BIOS of your PC. The special keys POWER - SLEEP - WAKE will only work if this is the case.

The only suggestion I can make is that if you do not use sleep mode at all, you may be able to turn off this functionality in your computer's BIOS under 'Power Management' -- and so the keys will have no effect when you press them.

Maybe you could take the board apart and physically block the buttons from moving (super glue them up) or something........................
