power button problem

I have a Lian-li PC60USB case housing a 3 year old p4 setup. When I press the power button in the morning it won't start right away. Sometimes it takes 4-6 presses to get it to start. Once it starts though it runs fine. I replaced the power supply with a 300 watt Antec but the problem persists. Any idea what the problem is?

Yes, the power button on your case is probabaly bad. Eventually you probably won't be able to start your PC with it. As a temporary fix you could swap the cables for the reset button and your power button. The two switches are identiacl, momentary contact, normaly open switches. If it works now this will conferm that it's the switch thats bad.
