I have an enlight 230w mid-tower case and an abit BH6 and I'm having problems with the power button. I'm trying to get it so that when I press the power button, I won't have to hold it down for 5 seconds before the computer shuts off. Also, when I do hold it down, it shuts off, and when I let go, it turns itself back on again. So then I have to quickly push it in again for another 5 seconds while it is booting up for it to actually shut off completely. IT'S THE POWER BUTTON FROM HELL!!! does anyone know how to fix this?

This happens on my BX6/2 as well. However, it doesnt happen all the time, actually it is pretty rare. Why not shutdown from windblows?

I tried that bios option already and it didn't fix the problem. Also, I always shutdown from windows, but whenever my computer totally locks up and i don't want to reset it, i just try to turn it off...

have you tried Display Properties / Screen Saver / Energy Saving setting / Advance and change your power button command there.
