Power button failed on ATX case

It's a cheap case and the power button failed. What are my options?

There's four wires going to the switch:

Pair of wires, white + red (this pair, when shorted, power on the machine).

Pair of wires, white + green (don't know what they do).

Can I just get a door bell push button and connect the white and red wire to it and use that for power? What are the white + green wires about? Or, should I try to get another 4 wire button switch for it, or another case? TIA.

White and green are usually for the Power LED - aren't the connectors marked? IAC, you can use the reset buton leads for power switch temporarily as it is the same type of switch. Make sure you connected the pwr switch leads to the right pair of pins on the mobo before giving up. The pin labels are sometimes confusing.

Yeah, it's the LED that goes to the other leads. The connectors at the MB are marked, well the one to the power is. I know which leads it fits on OK. I'm shorting those two leads with a screwdriver right now to power on the system.

I have an old AT case in my garage. I think the power switch on it is a toggle, not a momentary connect, but I bet there's a reset button on it I can rig into this system as a power button. Thanks for the ideas.
