WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Secretary of State Colin Powell said on Wednesday the time had come for the United Nations to take punitive action against Iran for its alleged nuclear weapons program.

Speaking to reporters flying back with him from a one-day trip to Panama, Powell said he would urge members of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), at its board meeting on Sept. 13, to refer the issue to the U.N. Security Council.

"We still believe that the Iranians are not fessing up to everything. They still have a program that, in our judgment, is a nuclear program designed to develop ultimately a nuclear weapon," said Powell.

He then held up a small glass vial and said "...Ah nevermind, I have no cred."

Iran is using the energy thing as a cover to make fissable material, same as NK did. They want to join the nuke club.

I thought the UN recently said that Iran didn't have a clear nuclear weapons program.

It did:

Spin, spin, spin!
The U.N. agency investigated some U.S. intelligence tips about Iran's alleged nuclear weapons, but turned up nothing conclusive, the Post said, citing unidentified diplomats who have been briefed on the report.

The report could be made public as early as Wednesday.

However, the report said questions remain about Tehran's activities and several tips have not been fully explored, the newspaper said. The report also will note improved cooperation from the Iranians in recent months.
There is an enormous difference between the UN definitively saying Iran is not developing nuclear weapons and them saying we have so far been unable to reach a conclusion.

It's funny to hear insignificant little nobody's who have accomplished very little in this world attempt to grasp a false sense of superiority by belittling great men.

So the war drums are beating louder already. The election isn't even over yet. Well, I guess the mystery of which country Bush would attack next is over. Syria can wait a year. Parents, send your 16 or older sons away now, while you have the chance.
