Hello guys, I have a small problem I'd like to find a better solution to because the one right now isn't that suitable.
My setup is a windows 7 running potplayer having the video/audio directed through my laptop's HDMI port to my TV.
The problem is that whenever I am playing a video (typically mkv) and I pause it, only to resume maybe a few minutes later, the audio that was originally coming out of my TV will be muted. This isn't just the video audio, as changing the volume and doing the test "beep" from the volume control also gives off no sound. It's like my computer forgets where to output the sound to.
This only happens when I pause in Potplayer, as far as I know, and not other type of video players, including online ones like Youtube.
My only solution is to simply unplug and replug my HDMI cable to my laptop, but I'd like to refrain from doing that repeatedly so as not to wear and tear my port.
