I have some pictures that were taken inside a dark restaurant with a canon s230 digital camera in auto setting. Since it was dark inside, the camera used the flashlight, and the peoples' faces look really bright to the point that its all white, is there a filter to fix this? I tried auto levels, brightness/contrast under adjust image, but all it did was just change the whole picture overall brightness/contrast, and all I want to do is just change the faces' brightness/exposure level.

thanks,
rich

You might have to use the magenetic lasso tool to outline their faces. From there, you should be able to adjust the levels just for their faces and not the whole picture. You'll have to do this for each face, though.

Also, try playing with the curves. Just make sure you don't come up with a line while doing so.

I'd try this method too, although wje would be the next option. 🙂
