SUPPOSEDLY, there is supposed to be a clearance for all items that end with an 88 (ie $79.88) starting tommorrow, wednesday... not sure what kind of discount, but keep in mind everything ending in .88 is already marked down really low b/c they are either discontinued or OD is not selling them anymore & getting rid of the inventory. This may not be going on at all locations, hell it may not even happen at all, this is just what I heard... I called up my local OD and the person I spoke to said she had no idea about it and said it might be an offer from their closing locations. This might be even hotter b/c many of the closing locations are having a 10-20% off everything liquidation going on right now

And as I said, this I ONLY HEARD... could someone confirm this all?

OD is closing a lot of stores due to restructuring and thats what most stores do, clear things off so they dont have to spend time stocking them and moving them.. anyway, I hope its true.. like to get a few chairs...

I talked to the guys at OD, and they said that all of the stock at the stores they are closing, isn't even owned by OD anymore. All of the stock is owned by liquidators. So OD deals don't apply. And all sales are final.

Plus there really aren't any good deals yet, and they don't know when, as the policies are set by said liquidators. I had big hopes for this. I hate to see them go, but I live in Ohio and there won't be anymore stores here. I wanted to at least get a really good deal or two before they are gone for good.

At least last month I got the WD 40 gig hard drive for $40 from them :) .

I stopped in the OD in Anaheim. They have big signs saying 20% off, but it doesnt apply to everything. 10% off chairs and some slight discount on everything else. Usually with closing like this, (OD, Sears or Wards), The good discounts dont come until 3 or 4 weeks into it. Too bad...

Yes, these OD clearance sales are a waste of time, at least until they mark stuff down more than a measly 10%, which is the current state of their "sales".

I just posted something like this in another thread, but I want people to know. The a-hole manager at the soon-closing Westland, MI store told me NO COUPONS (remember the 15/50?) and they will not honor ANY advertised prices - not even their own! The whole store was having 10% throughout but nothing that great for deals since I was armed with my coupons and couldn't use them. Also, they had 20 off 100 coupons for B&Ms that will stay in business...
