Potentially hot deal for existing SprintPCS customers @Staples

Hey, all you SprintPCS customers with phone-envy!

I stumbled across a potentially hot deal. If you're an existing Spring PCS customer in the market for a new phone, you may be eligible for some of those rebates being advertised! Most rebates say "new activation only", but I picked out a phone from Staples today on which Staples offers a $50 rebate. The wording of the rebate says nothing about activations or contracts:

The conditions:
* Purchase Select Sprint Phones at Staples
* Purchase must be made between 2/1/03 and 3/31/03
* Send the original UPC bar code from your product box
* All requests must be postmarked bu 4/30/03
* Include a copy of your sales receipt
* Register online or complete claim coupon

The fine print:
"Rebate applies to Select Sprint Phones purchased at Staples stores or Staples Direct only. Purchase must be made between February 1, 2003 and March 31, 2003. All requests MUST be postmarked by April 30, 2003. Offer not valid with any other rebates, offers or promotions. Offer valid in US only. Good for actual purchases by end users; excludes resellers and distributors of products and their families. Please allow 8 weeks after claim is received by fulfillment company to receive your rebate. All rebates will be made in US dollars. Manufacturer is not responsible for lost or misdirected mail and illegible entries. Staples logo and product names are trademarks of Staples and their respective companies. One rebate per name/family/address. For questions about your rebate call 1-877-266-6483..."

Phones covered include the LG1010 and LG5350, Samsung A400/A460/A500/N400, Sanyo 4900, and Handsprint Treo 300. Also the Sprint Novatel Merlin C201. Hope some of you find this useful. For the record, you can pricematch the LG5350 at Staples ($199.99) to Radio Shack's current full price of $149.99 because the price tags at the store say the $50 rebate is good for new activations only.

Thanks for the post. I'm an existing customer in the market for a new phone. Will give this a try ! 🙂

Cant' find it on staples.com, and we have no local store. Can someone find the N400 on there? All the site is showing is a holster and a leather case.

Staples doesn't offer cellphone through their website, so this deal is only good at B&M
