That face is metal? If so, then that case has me beat, but I still like my Chieftec. :)

Dunno how the face could be metal. Looks just like the Antec/whatever case with plastic front.

DUH!

It's an aluminum case and you can't even buy them "unmodded."

Anyone else not seeing the motherboard tray?

Also worth noting, they just added it to their inventory and don't have it in stock for another 2 weeks + a week for shipping.

And you can buy this case unmodded, at least in silver so far, for $74 w/o PSU.

They have these same cases at newegg for $129 + 18 shipping except for the blue one
which is $139. Even the pictures are the same but the ones at newegg "do not" have a
slideout motherboard tray that I know of. I will be recieving mine today and I "wish" it
had a slideout motherboard tray. ;)

I wish I could afford to build my dual amd computer. This would be the case I would get.

Is that true?

I bought the Antec sx1040b last september. What's the difference in the metal on this case and the metal on the sx1040, and why is aluminum better? Insulates noise better, keeps the computer cooler?

Main realistic advantage to aluminum is it weighs a lot less then the standard steel version of this case (LAN friendly). It also disipates heat much easier...supposedly up to 4 times faster then the steel counterparts. I think that ever little bit helps, but so long as you have good airflow it's not that big of a difference. And depending on who you talk to, or which review you read, they are easier to cut for modding purposes.

Strange . . . I've never heard of this particular case ever having a slide-out mobo tray, even in the Aluminum version. Interesting.

Yes its true. Go look at the turbolink psu in the chieftech page at newegg...Scroll to the pic with a label. Note that it says "cwt-420" somewhere.

Now go look at the antec sx1040 case, scroll to psu with label...In the lower right hand corner, you will see "cwt-420"

This means that both psus are made by "cwt" or channelwell technology.

Looks like they took out the bit about the slide-out mobo tray. Ah, well.

Still a great deal on an Aluminum Dragon, w/420 W power supply + 3 fans + window. Nice.

It's worth noting that these have 1mm thick sides, while the renowned Lian Li cases have 1.5mm thick sides...this may bring the quality into question (though for that price it may not matter).

This isn't a bad deal. Painting my case was probably the most difficult for me since I chose metallic spray paint. Getting an even coat proved to be a challenge with the metallic specs floating around in the paint. I probably went through at least $40 worth of paint and clear coat. But in the end I thought I did a good job. If you don't have the ability, time or the patience. I would highly recommend getting this case. The fact that a window also comes preinstalled is pretty nice as well. If you want to see my system go ahead and take a peek.

Check Out Ma Case!!!!!

Can you get the aluminum without the window? I think that would make a nice server case but i'm not feeling the window ....looks cheap
