Saw this on GLP and could be an issue for some:

Report: Microsoft's latest Windows 11 24H2 update breaks SSDs/HDDs, may corrupt your data

For those interested, patch KB5062660 on win 11 seems to make drives disappear when performing intensive copy ops to them.

They normally reappear after a reboot but may suffer glitches until KB5062660 is uninstalled.

A couple of specific drives were unrecoverable but unknown if it was system or drive specific.

Recommend to check online IT sites for further details.

Good Luck

My choice of hardware against the Japanese list suggests that I'm not likely to experience a problem over these difficulties. And at least for the moment, the Windows 11 Pro installation I have of 24H2 is on a "test" system which falls short of the hardware requirements by just a sliver -- doesn't show a problem. It was installed on 8/7/25 and totally updated without ill effect.

But it's certainly good to know that we're all potential victims of these problems, while M$ is winding up its support for Windows 10 and playing favorites with hardware requirements for Windows 11.
