potential of p4 1.8a

got some stuff coming in including arctic silver and a new 4 fan case (evercase)

with pc800 512mg rambus, stock heatsink and fan, whats the ocing potential of 1.8a
also gigabyte titan board.

On a gigabyte mobo, who knows.

On a decent overclocking mobo, 2.5 - 2.7GHz is a reasonable aim.

2.7 is very reasonable.
Im runnin my 1.8a on it7 at 150fsb(2.7ghz) at stock voltage with the intel fan. 35C idle, 49c load

A lot depends on the chip though

With newer packing 1.8a chips 2.6-2.8 are very possible...I don't think 3ghz is likley but some may come very close....

Ofcourse mobos can drastically limit this as well as rdram!!! May have to use a 3 x multipier to get the fsb to max out on chip...(150fsb = 2.7ghz) pc900 to (160fsb = 2.88ghz) pc960 is likely the best you can do under best circumstances...
