I was wondering, who do you think could run in the 2024 Republican Presidential primaries (assuming Trump isn't challenged in 2020)? Note that this is NOT a thread to list your preferred candidates, but for who do you think actually might possibly run (regardless of your personal preferences).

Here is who I think might possibly run:
  • VP Mike Pence
  • Former Governor Jan Brewer
  • Senator Marco Rubio
  • Senator Ted Cruz
  • Governor Doug Ducey
  • Former Governor Jeb Bush
  • Governor Scott Walker
  • Speaker Paul Ryan
  • Former Governor Bob McDonnell
  • Governor Brian Sandoval
  • Ambassador Nikki Haley
  • Governor Chris Christie
  • Former Majority Leader Eric Cantor
Who do you think might run in the 2024 Republican Presidential primaries?

Those are all the old guard and are not extreme enough. Probably Ted Nugent or Richard Spencer. Maybe Charles Manson if he can get a work release.

One thing we can all be sure of is that it will be unbelievably hard to top the udder stu-fucking-pidity of the current POTUS, so there's that.

Its way to early to even wonder about that. All it takes is one massive terror attack or some other disaster to change the course of history, look at 9/11. If that didnt happen then GWB may have been just a ho hum President who would be viewed by history similar to his father, instead 9/11 happened and he proved he was a POS [and i say that as someone who voted Republican this election but was fully against the Iraq invasion before it began]. Trump is only 100 days in, anything can happen between now and then. It is possible even that *some* liberals may even soften their stance on him [its a stretch i know but just as a example]. But by 2020 we will all have a decent idea of possible folks who will run in 2024.

The Democratic side is the more interesting one if you ask me, 2020 for the Dems may be like 2016 was for the Republicans for all we know - 16+ candidates ran for the GOP nomination this cycle. It will make for interesting primary debates if that happens on the Democratic side this time.
