Seriously, Potato products should take up even more of the grocery store shelves.

They can make so much stuff from them and they can be grown basically EVERYWHERE. Yeesh.

What kind of sacrilege is this map? Idaho produces all potatoes. Everyone knows this.

Potatos were the first item off my menu when I decided to get in better shape.

I like the story of the potato. The Spanish invaded Central America & South America, killed hundreds of thousands, possibly millions of natives and destroyed entire civilizations. They took the potato back to Europe along with everything else they plundered. Unfortunately the Spanish didn't figure out right away that the potato was poisonous and it started killing them en mass! How's that for irony!?!

I am sick and tired of looking at potatoes. We use upwards of 500,000lbs per day 7 days a week.

My favorite easy baked potatoes:

1. Get the small red potatoes that come in a bag.
2. Wash them and put it in a microwave safe container with lid, I usually just use a bowl and plate lid
3. Microwave for around 4:30 or until the skin becomes loose.
4. Put on pepper, or try other seasoning of your choice.
5. Add blue cheese, only buy the jar ones from the fridge of the salad section. The ones in bottles are disgusting. My fav is Marie Calendars or Lighthouse.

1899-1908, Idaho hadn't even been discovered yet.

Idaho was State-ized in 1890. That would explain why the potato production in Idaho is so low as per this map, though - probably not too much of it had been farm-ized.
