Potatoes are better than human blood for making space bricks

One is a solid, the other, liquid.... Let me guess, it came out of Maximegalon Institute of Slowly and Painfully Working Out the Surprisingly Obvious.

Mostly along the lines of:
"Wait....what?"
Followed by:
"Wait....what?"
As apes that foul their nests inviting the attention of vermin and predators humans are driven to move from place to place, but now we have fouled the whole planet and many among us are driven by a desire to escape and find pristine new places to ruin. Mars is the most logical choice so far reachable out there. With the analytical capacity of our recent neocortex as few as maybe ten thousand of our ancestors a few hundred years ago have spread out of Africa to billions in number all over the earth.

Why the surprise we’d have an interest in how to colonize Mars. With all the evidence why the surprise that we are insane?

Don’t remember the title or author but there’s a sci-fi novel out there I really liked about one man who would not leave and was the last of us on Earth.

Let's get on it.
