Potato chips... mmmmm...........

As I'm sitting here eating my lunch, cape cod potato chips to be exact, I began to think about the different species of potato chips. Now, I say there are 3 "species" of potato chip. These do not include salt and vinegar, sour cream and onion, or BBQ, because I see them as flavors.

Generally speaking, plain potato chips have (as far as I've seen) 3 distinct variations, the plain potato chip (original lays), the ruffled edge potato chip (ruffles, duh), and the kettle chip (cape cod). There are various brands of each type of chip, and you can often find each species in the various flavors I listed before.

So, whats your preference, and why???

Cape Cod (kettle) chips are awesome... though I dont know how far west they can be found...

We have them in California, I use to eat them, but I have discovered the Poore Brother Kettle chips since.

Just got a bag of the new Chipotile(sp?) Ranch, they are pretty damn tasty.

I like original or ridged chips with tobasco habanero pepper sauce...mmmmmm... French onion dip is also good...

I dont like flavored chips though....
