Postscript Level 2 vs Level 3?

I have an HP 3330 print/fax/scan/etc machine. On my wife's laptop that has XP on it, it sometimes prints out some funky error page that says the pritner must be configured for Psotscript Level 2 emulation or something like that.

I've never gotten this before on any of my XP machines. Any idea what this means?

I do see the dropdown box for Level 2 or Level 3 but it's already set to Level 2 so I don't know what the problem is.

The printer is hooked up to the network through a JetDirect EX box so I guess it could be that thing that's having issues and not the printer but I'm not sure.

Any ideas?
