Posting to 'Hot Deals' Forum Rules.

I still don't know ALL the rules, so feel free to chip in here folks.

Here are the general guidelines to this forum, follow them and your chances of getting Flamed, Trolled, Locked or generally Harrassed go down significantly.


Start a Topic ONLY if you have a Deal to share
- If you have a question about something, reply to the thread where your question lies.
- If you WANT a specific deal, find the '~~~~ I WANNA ~~~~' thread and reply in there.

Use the 'Search' function first
- Posting a deal that someone already had is sure to attract some negativity.
- Using search is also much easier than wading through all the posts.

NO coupon codes allowed
The specifics of why I'm unsure of, but if you post a code...You WILL be flamed, then your Post WILL be locked.

Be DESCRIPTIVE in your Post Title!!!
A good rule of thumb is to include; What the item is, what the final cost will be, and what's involved to get the price...For example '128mb PC133 Ram, $50 after MIR'

Abbreviations
B&M- Brick and Mortar, means you have to go to the PHYSICAL store. NOT the online store.
BB- Best Buy
CC- Credit Card
GC- Gift Certificate
MIR- Mail In Rebate
OD- Office Depot
OM- OfficeMax
OT- Off Topic
PM- Price Match
S&H- Shipping and Handling

while this not an official mod post.. and most likely will be locked.. It would not be bad to have this or a similiar thread at the top thread of this forum always for the newbies or uninformed to read prior to posting for the first time.

Posting a good subject title is what I would like to see more of. I hate seeing people post two line titles. Simple and informative. No complete sentence structure or letter heading necessary.
