Looking at posting some digital camera pictures online for friends to view and enjoy. Anyone recommend any sites? I know there are a bunch out there. Would prefer a free site if possible, but looking on what people recommend.

did you want them to be able to print them out themselves ? Ofoto, Shutterfly, Snapfish... in that order.

Thanks. I'll look into ofoto. I used a site in the past, but required users to have a l/pw to view. didnt like that too much.

did you want them to be able to order the prints or simply view them only ? If it's the latter, all 3 sites named require a login so it wouldn't be good for your cause.

Mainly view. Didn't really think about them having to order the prints. Ofoto requires login? So general public can't view unless they have a password I take it.

Correct.

I can't name any free and already-available ones that would allow you an easily manageable view for friends except for Yahoo Photos.

I would register a domain and host it yourself, should cost under $25/yr.

yes that's a good res for the web... usually jpg but it makes no difference. I don't know any camera that takes pics as gifs.
