Better, but still a long way to go. Random example, Ubuntu does not ship with Flash. If you go to a web site with Flash, Firefox will pop up its automated installer thing. But if you try and complete the install it will fail. The way to install Flash is with the package manager. But how is anyone supposed to know that? Non geeks will just get the Firefox error and be frustrated.

Well then, maybe my comments should be geared towards gnome, but either way, I'm really liking. God knows I love gentoo, but setting it up for desktop use took forever.

Sure emerge is great, but it totally ruined me when it came to using other flavors of linux that I encountered. Hopefully automatix won't do the same....

that said, I was looking for a distro to install on an uncle's pc, and it looks like this one will be it....
