Sprang for my new iPad 64gb vzw.

What should I do with it now? Facebook in retina is cool.

(not trolling, I love this thing to death.)

i use my Gen 1 for reading mag subscriptions, general reading of websites and news and converted videos when i'm bored with nothing on tv. I also really like the TuneIn radio app, the pro version lets you record music.
I also like some of the hidden object games...something i never wanted to play on anything else but yet find myself playing them on ipad more entertaining.

How are magazines on the iPad? I am hesitant to resubscribe to my favorite magazines on the iPad. I am not sure if they will be of the same quality or if they are buggy or maybe they're even better and I just don't know yet.

Also, everything I've typed here has been done using dictation. It is remarkably good in a quiet environment. Though sometimes I feel it's speaking what I can say it isn't as quick as typing it out. And that can happen sometimes

only subbed Men's Health and the interactions, videos, and supplement content is cool. I like it better than the paper version.

I don't think mine has dictation. typing with the onscreen kb took me some getting used to and is much slower for me, but i have done it quite a few times.

I use a subscription service app called Zinio. I think its great. i have Gamer PC mags, PCworld and Performance and sound mag.
I think it looks very good....i assume they have updated it to support the new ipad resolutions but am unsure.
No bugs found. You can search mags by date easily by clicking on the calender to the left. In the mags you can view a scrollbar showing the pages and skip quickly to certain pages.
You can zoom of course to read better, the print itself isn't changed from the real magazine so i have to hold the ipad closer or zoom if its really small. I don't find it bothersome though.
Pages flick quickly enough....i'm sure on yours its even faster cause yours is more powerful and more memory.

Zinio app is free. you can sample many free mags or parts of them i think so you can see for yourself.

Apple has their own newstand app too, but i have not looked at any of their mags. Not sure if i really want subsciptions through 2 difference services even though their on the same platform. Not sure if its any better than Zinio.

I also have some PDF mags i downloaded from web and use Ibooks to view those. Their scanned mags so of course not that great of quality but good enough considering i got them free.

I can say one thing for sure....i'll never bother with real mags again. Ipad makes it so much more convenient.

Congrats, you will love it. I typically use I for web surfing while laying on the couch but I'm always finding new uses :)

The National Geographic interactive magazine is beautiful on the iPad, I also like the voice dictation feature. Congrats on your new toy!

Buy the Autumn Dynasty app! If you are a RTS fan this is easily imo the best RTS on the iPad. Very fun.

You will love Flipboard app..it is so AWESOME!!
I've used it on my iPhone before and I wasn't impressed, same held true on the iPad. I'm not a huge fan of any of those news apps, I just prefer the interwebs for that. :3

However, Tapatalk HD is amazing.

I recently discovered an app called Prey anti theft.
its a free security service for your devices. The way i take it, you sign up for free. If your Ipad, laptop, android..etc get stolen, you log online, flag it as stolen and i guess you can wipe it and track it or something.

not a bad extra layer of security for free.
