I am using my Samsung A500 with data cable to connect to the Sprint PCS Vision Service. About to try my speeds on a speed test and then I will post results.

I was getting a speed test reading of 76k from CNET's test meter. Keep in mind this is with one bar of signal as Sprint has crappy service near my house. Once I get my laptop screen fixed, I am going to try a full bar connection and will hopefully get even better speeds.

My Vision Plan is for unlimited data transfer so it rocks!

I thought the Cellular Packet limited the bandwidth available for Data to sub DSL speeds?
I used my At&t/ 3com/ Toshiba laptopwin98se to access AOL a couple of years ago. Impressed the clients, but speed was slow and it was only really useful for collecting Emails or sending small files/zipped files.
I would be hoping bandwidth/ speed would be on the rise.

I've been debating about getting either Sprint PCS Vision or saving $10/month and getting either their non-Vision plan or a similar plan from T-Mobile.

Most Vision plans were automatically converted by Sprint to Unlimited. I pay 99 a month for Unlimited Vision, 1000 Anytime, 6000 N&W, no roaming, and free long distance.

People have reported speeds of up to 200k so that is just a little more than ISDN speeds. Works fine for surfing and way faster than dial up.
